AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): CNN reported, citing occupying military officials, that Israel will enforce what it calls a "Yellow Line" in Lebanon to prevent the return of southern Lebanese residents to their villages.
CNN, citing officials of the Zionist regime's army, reported that Israel will establish what it calls a "Yellow Line" inside Lebanese territory with the aim of preventing the return of residents.
These officials indicated that 55 Lebanese villages fall within the Yellow Line areas, and Lebanese displaced persons are not permitted to return to them.
They also added that the Zionist regime's army will be authorized to continue destroying Hezbollah-related infrastructure during the ceasefire period.
Human rights sources have warned that the implementation of the "Yellow Line" would effectively mean the prolonged or permanent displacement of tens of thousands of residents from approximately 50 to 55 villages and towns in southern Lebanon, depriving them of access to their homes and agricultural lands.
This is a clear violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits collective punishment and the forced displacement of civilians.
Hebrew media had previously announced that the occupying army had presented political leaders with a plan to establish a buffer zone in southern Lebanon similar to the Yellow Line in Gaza.
The "Yellow Line" refers to an area to which Israeli forces were supposed to withdraw under the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 10. This line is not a physical border but a hypothetical line dividing the Gaza Strip into two parts: south of Gaza City and north of Khan Yunis.
Although the Yellow Line effectively meant the consolidation of occupation in Gaza, the Zionists did not even stop there, repeatedly crossing this line and violating the ceasefire agreement.
In this regard, a Russia Al-Youm correspondent in Lebanon reported that for the second consecutive day since the implementation of the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement, displaced persons continue to return to their villages and towns in southern Lebanon. Traffic jams have been reported on several roads leading to the Tyre and Sidon areas, as efforts continue to clear roads and remove debris to facilitate the return of residents.
Previously, the Zionist regime's army, under the pretext of disarming Hezbollah in Lebanon, threatened to completely occupy Lebanon while simultaneously discussing the expansion of a buffer zone in southern Lebanon.
The Zionist occupying army made this threat as airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs continued, with the army claiming to be targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut.
According to the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, the Zionist regime's army had previously claimed it intended to target two bridges located near the Litani River in the Western Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon.
Earlier, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the Zionist regime's military operation against Lebanon, which has been ongoing since March 2, has so far resulted in 1,368 martyrs and 4,138 wounded.
